A strategy partner who looks beyond the obvious.
My path into this work hasn’t been a straight line. I spent almost a decade working in financial services, where I saw first-hand how strategy, structure, and performance can drive results. I valued the learning and experience, but I also saw how often decisions were shaped more by internal pressures than by the people or purpose they were meant to serve. It left me wanting to work in a way that created more meaningful impact.
That experience led me to pursue a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Practice at UCL, where I immersed myself in a very different approach. The program focused on involving the right stakeholders at the right stages of a project and learning from those closest to the challenges. It showed me that lasting solutions come from looking beyond surface-level problems to uncover what really drives them.
From there, I moved into the public sector, working with the UK government, police forces, and leading universities such as LSE and Imperial College London. These projects tackled complex issues that affected people directly and gave me work that felt both meaningful and rewarding. Yet I also saw familiar patterns: large consultancies tied to vendor contracts, clients steered towards expensive systems that didn’t fit, and underlying issues left unexplored in favour of quick wins.
All of those experiences shaped how I work today. Seeing how resources can be wasted when the wrong problems are tackled and how often solutions fail to deliver the outcomes people need showed me that the work has to be done differently. Now, working independently, I have the freedom to do just that. I’m not tied to revenue targets or vendor partnerships. My only focus is helping clients uncover what really matters, define a vision they can act on, and design strategies that move their business forward with clarity, confidence, and lasting impact.
Why Lightwell House?
A lightwell is an architectural feature designed to bring natural light into spaces that would otherwise remain hidden in shadow. It opens up new perspectives, illuminates what isn’t immediately visible, and makes the whole structure more livable.
That idea reflects exactly what I do in my work. Many businesses wrestle with challenges that aren’t obvious on the surface. The real issues often lie deeper, in places that are harder to see. My role is to bring clarity into those spaces by shedding light on what hasn’t been explored, revealing new possibilities, and helping clients see their challenges and opportunities from new perspectives.
I chose the name Lightwell House because it captures both the purpose and the spirit of my approach: creating a place where insight, perspective, and strategy come together to illuminate the path forward.
